Diplomatic Quarter in August
Not the best time
August isn't ideal for Diplomatic Quarter. Consider a different month.
All Months
November through March offers the most comfortable weather for exploring the DQ on foot. Temperatures hover around 20-25°C during the day, perfect for strolling between the embassy buildings and shopping centers.
December and January bring occasional rain, which transforms the usually dry landscape. The DQ's gardens look particularly lush during these months, and outdoor dining becomes pleasant in the evenings.
Avoid July and August when temperatures regularly exceed 45°C. Even the short walk from air-conditioned car to air-conditioned building becomes uncomfortable. Most diplomatic events and business conferences schedule around the cooler months anyway.
Ramadan affects dining options throughout the quarter, with most restaurants closed during daylight hours. But the evening iftar meals at hotel restaurants offer special menus worth trying.
