Eastern Shore in June

Great time to visit

June is one of the best months to visit Eastern Shore.

All Months

May through September gives you the full Eastern Shore experience - warm weather, open restaurants, and active watermen bringing in fresh catches. July and August bring peak crowds to Ocean City but perfect conditions for swimming and boating. Here's what locals know: late May and early June offer the best balance of good weather and smaller crowds. September rocks for comfortable temperatures and fewer families, plus the blue crabs are at their fattest. October can be gorgeous for scenic drives, though many seasonal restaurants close after Labor Day. Winter basically shuts down the tourist infrastructure - many waterfront places board up until spring. Spring arrives late here due to the water's influence, so April can still feel pretty chilly. If you're planning around specific activities, crab season peaks in summer, while migratory birds fill Blackwater refuge during fall and winter months.
