Fiji Islands in April
Good time to visit
April is a reasonable time to visit Fiji Islands.
All Months
Fiji's dry season runs May through October, and there's a reason everyone calls this the sweet spot. Temperatures hover in the mid-70s to low-80s Fahrenheit, humidity drops to bearable levels, and trade winds keep things comfortable. July and August bring the crowds and highest prices, but also the most reliable weather for diving and snorkeling. The shoulder months – May, June, September, and October – offer the best balance of good weather and reasonable prices. November through April brings the wet season, which sounds scarier than it actually is. Sure, you'll get afternoon thunderstorms and higher humidity, but you'll also get fewer tourists, better deals, and surprisingly good diving conditions. The real concern is cyclone season, which peaks December through March. But here's the reality check: serious storms are rare, and most rain comes in short, intense bursts followed by sunshine. Just avoid January and February if you're risk-averse, and always buy travel insurance during wet season visits.
