Frogner in June

May through September is when Frogner shows off. The parks explode with green, outdoor cafes open their terraces, and locals emerge from winter hibernation looking surprisingly well-rested. July brings midnight sun and the kind of long days that make you forget time exists. Vigeland Park stays busy until 10 PM, but the light is magical. Just pack layers — Oslo weather changes faster than a teenager's mood. September might be the sweet spot. Tourists thin out, leaves start changing, and restaurant prices drop slightly as summer menus end. The Norwegian Film Festival usually runs in September too, bringing a cultural buzz to the neighborhood's cinemas. Winter in Frogner is beautiful but brutal. Snow transforms the sculpture park into something from a fairy tale, but you'll pay premium prices for the privilege of freezing. Indoor attractions become your best friends, and that expensive coffee suddenly feels like a necessity rather than a luxury.
