Gozo in June

Good time to visit

June is a reasonable time to visit Gozo.

All Months

May through October delivers the classic Mediterranean experience with warm, dry weather and calm seas perfect for swimming and diving. July and August see temperatures reach 30°C, but the sea breeze keeps things comfortable. This is peak season, so expect higher prices and crowded beaches. April and November offer sweet spots with pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and lower accommodation costs. The sea remains warm enough for swimming through November, and many restaurants stay open. Spring brings wildflowers across the countryside. Winter months from December to March see cooler temperatures around 15-18°C and occasional rain, but also reveal Gozo's quieter side. Many tourist facilities close, but this is perfect timing for hiking and exploring without the crowds. Hotel rates drop significantly. Diving conditions remain excellent year-round, with winter actually offering the best visibility. The water temperature ranges from 16°C in February to 26°C in September. Avoid the two weeks around Easter when Maltese families flood the island for traditional celebrations. Accommodation becomes scarce and prices spike. The grape harvest in September brings special energy to the island, with several wineries offering tours and tastings. This coincides with perfect weather and still-warm seas.
