Gros Morne National Park in October
Good time to visit
October is a reasonable time to visit Gros Morne National Park.
All Months
June through September offers the most reliable weather and all services operating. July and August bring warmest temperatures – highs around 20°C – but also peak crowds and bugs. September is magic: fewer people, stunning fall colors, and clearer skies for mountain views. June can be cool and wet, but wildflowers bloom across the lowlands. Winter transforms the park into a cross-country skiing destination, though most tourist services shut down. The Western Brook Pond boat tours only run late May through early October. Look, if you want solitude and don't mind unpredictable weather, late September through early October rewards brave visitors with incredible photography conditions.
