Jewish Quarter (District VII) in March

April through June gives you perfect weather for wandering between synagogues and outdoor ruin bar terraces. September and October work just as well — cooler evenings make bar-hopping more comfortable, and you'll dodge summer's tourist hordes. Winter isn't terrible if you don't mind indoor drinking, but half the ruin bars close their courtyards. July and August get swelteringly hot, and the crowds make Kazinczy Street nearly impassable on weekend nights. Spring also brings the Jewish Cultural Festival in early May, when concerts fill the courtyards and synagogues open special exhibitions.
