Lowcountry in June

November through April is peak season for good reason. Temperatures hover around 25-30°C, and the rains have stopped. The Mekong runs clear and low, perfect for boat trips. December and January are coolest, sometimes dipping to 15°C at night. Pack a light jacket for temple visits at dawn. March and April get hot – we're talking 35°C+ hot. But this is mango season, and the temples are surrounded by flowering trees. Early morning and late afternoon become your friends. Avoid May through October unless you love mud and humidity. The monsoons turn dirt roads into rivers and make temple-hopping miserable.
