Napa Valley in June
Great time to visit
June is one of the best months to visit Napa Valley.
All Months
Crush season from September through November offers the most authentic experience—you'll see grape harvesting in action and taste wines at their peak. But expect crowds and premium pricing. Spring brings wildflowers and fewer tourists, with comfortable temperatures in the 70s. Summer means perfect weather but also peak crowds and $400+ hotel rates. Winter is Napa's secret season: tasting rooms are quiet, hotel rates drop by half, and you'll actually talk to the winemakers instead of rushed servers. Rain is possible January through March, but cozy tasting rooms with fireplaces make up for it. Avoid major holidays and harvest weekends unless you enjoy bumper-to-bumper traffic on Highway 29. Weekdays year-round offer better service, lower prices, and easier reservations at top restaurants.
