April through October gives you the best weather, but each season brings trade-offs. May and September hit the sweet spot - warm enough for outdoor dining, cool enough for comfortable walking. Summer means long days and outdoor concerts in Wenceslas Square, but also crowds and higher prices. Hotel rates jump 40% in July and August. October brings fewer tourists and cheaper accommodation, plus the leaves turn gorgeous in Petřin Park nearby. Winter has its charm too - Christmas markets fill the squares, and beer halls feel extra cozy. But daylight disappears by 4pm in December. Spring arrives late in Prague. March still feels like winter, but April explodes with cherry blossoms along the Vltava. The weather changes fast here, so pack layers regardless of season.
