Puglia in June

Great time to visit

June is one of the best months to visit Puglia.

All Months

April through June offers perfect weather without summer's crushing heat. Temperatures hover around 22-25°C, olive trees bloom white, and tourist crowds stay manageable. September and October provide similar conditions with the bonus of harvest season. You'll find sagre food festivals celebrating everything from figs to wine. July and August bring 35°C+ heat that makes afternoon sightseeing miserable. Coastal areas get packed with Italian families on holiday. But evening temperatures cool enough for late dinners, and beach clubs stay lively until dawn. Winter sees many restaurants and hotels close, especially in smaller coastal towns. January temperatures drop to 8-12°C with frequent rain. However, this becomes truffle season in the Murgia area. Spring arrives early here. March already brings warm days perfect for hiking in Gargano National Park. The almond trees bloom pink in February, creating photo opportunities around every corner.
