Ruzafa in October

April through June gives you perfect weather without the summer crowds that pack Valencia's beaches. The neighborhood really comes alive during these months - outdoor terraces fill up, street festivals pop up in the plazas, and the evening light makes those colorful building facades look spectacular. September and October work just as well, with warm days and cooler evenings perfect for bar hopping. Avoid July and August if you can - the heat gets oppressive and many locals flee to the coast, leaving behind mostly tourists and closed-for-vacation signs. Winter isn't terrible, but the outdoor cafe culture that defines Ruzafa loses some of its charm when everyone's bundled up indoors.
