September might be ideal: summer crowds thin out, forests turn golden, and harvest festivals celebrate local wine and beer. October can surprise you with stunning autumn colors, but some attractions start closing early. Winter transforms the region into a snow-globe scene, perfect for Christmas markets in Český Krumlov, but many smaller attractions shut down completely.
