The Benguela Current keeps temperatures moderate year-round, but winter months (June to August) can be surprisingly chilly with morning fog rolling in from the ocean. Summer (December to February) brings heat and occasional rain, plus higher accommodation prices during Namibian school holidays. May and September hit the sweet spot – warm days, clear skies, and fewer crowds. Morning fog is common throughout the year, usually burning off by 10 AM.
