Turquoise Coast in January
Not the best time
January isn't ideal for Turquoise Coast. Consider a different month.
All Months
April through June offers the sweet spot – warm enough for swimming but not yet hot enough to melt your phone. Wildflowers carpet the mountains, hotel prices stay reasonable, and you can actually get a table at waterfront restaurants without reservations. October brings similar conditions as summer crowds evaporate but the sea stays warm from months of sun. July and August turn the coast into a Turkish Riviera cliché – packed beaches, inflated prices, and temperatures that make sightseeing feel like punishment. But if you can handle the heat, this is when the coast comes alive with festivals, late-night dining, and a party atmosphere that lasts until dawn. Winter (December through March) sees most hotels close and ferry schedules reduced, though temperatures rarely drop below 15°C. It's perfect for hiking the Lycian Way without sweating through your shirt, and you'll have ancient ruins practically to yourself. The shoulder seasons of April-May and September-October offer the best balance of weather, prices, and crowd levels – book accommodations early as smart travelers increasingly target these months.
