Ubud in March

Not the best time

March isn't ideal for Ubud. Consider a different month.

All Months

April through October delivers Ubud's sweet spot — dry days, cool nights, and rice terraces at their greenest. The shoulder months of April and October offer the best deals on accommodation while avoiding peak season crowds. July and August bring European summer holidays and higher prices. Expect to pay 30-50% more for hotels and fight for space at popular temples. But the weather stays consistently dry, perfect for all-day temple hopping and rice terrace walks. May and June hit the goldilocks zone. Rains are rare, temperatures hover around 28°C during the day, and you'll have breathing room at Tegallalang Rice Terraces for those perfect photos. The wet season (November-March) isn't a complete write-off. Morning showers clear by noon, and the landscape turns impossibly green. Hotel rates drop significantly — sometimes by half — and you'll have popular spots nearly to yourself. Just pack a rain jacket and flexible plans.
