Community of Madrid in November

Good time to visit

November is a reasonable time to visit Community of Madrid.

All Months

Madrid's climate rewards spring and fall visitors. April through June brings mild temperatures (15-25°C) and longer days without summer's crushing heat. The city blooms during these months — literally, as jacaranda trees line Gran Vía in purple. September and October offer the year's best weather. Temperatures hover around 20-25°C, summer crowds disappear, and cultural events resume after August's hibernation. The autumn light makes every Instagram shot look professional. Summer in Madrid tests your heat tolerance. July and August regularly hit 35-40°C, and the sun doesn't set until 9:30 PM. But this is when locals embrace the night — dinner at 10 PM, bars at midnight, clubs at 3 AM. If you can handle the heat, you'll experience authentic Madrid nightlife. Winter brings short days and temperatures around 5-10°C. But museum crowds thin out, hotel prices drop 30-40%, and Christmas markets fill Plaza Mayor. The Prado, Reina Sofía, and Thyssen-Bornemisza become your best friends during January's cold snaps. Avoid August if possible — half the city shuts down as locals flee to the coast. Many restaurants close for the entire month, and those that remain open often run skeleton crews.
