May through October delivers perfect weather — sunny days around 26°C, minimal rain, and trade winds that keep humidity manageable. This is also peak season, so expect higher prices and advance bookings at popular resorts.
November through April brings occasional cyclones and daily afternoon showers. But here's the upside: resort rates drop by 30-40%, and the islands stay lush and green. The rain usually lasts 30 minutes, then the sun returns.
Manta ray season runs May to October, peaking in July and August. If diving with mantas tops your list, book between these months. Water visibility reaches 40+ meters during this period.
Avoid late February and March — cyclone season peaks, and several resorts close for maintenance. But if you're flexible with dates and don't mind some rain, shoulder seasons (April-May and November) offer the best value.
Wedding season runs June through September. If you're planning a romantic getaway, book early or consider October when crowds thin but weather stays excellent.
